What kind of a person is Emily?

Emily is a person who does not like to get along with other people and also does not like other people to get along with her. She likes to be left alone, and left alone to her ways. Being rude and pessimistic, she is also a stubborn person and does not like to change her ways and listen to others.

How do we know? What evidence does the writer provide?
In the story, Emily went to the druggist to buy poison. When the druggist asked her the reason for purchasing poison: Arsenic, she did not answer. Instead, she just stared at the him until he gave in and gave her the drugs. This shows how Emily wanted to keep her privacy. When people came to her house and wanted to talk about some important matters, Emily kept insisting that she had no taxes in Jefferson and even asked them to get out of the house. Emily is a stubborn person and does not like to change her ways and listen to others. When Emily’s father had died, the ladies in the town went to her house to offer condolence. Emily was dressed the same way always and without any expression on her face, she told them that her father was not dead. She did this for 3 whole days, until at last, Emily broke down and the ministers buried her father quickly. Emily was also very pessimistic about life and relies on her father and lover. When her father and lover both died, she felt that her life was over. She thus locks herself in her house and not socialising with people outside.

Hi! I am Eric. This is the URL of the comic strip I made (Lunch). Hope you will enjoy!

http://www.toondoo.com/View.toon?param=2727733

Plot: My plot brings about the message “Always think before you say or else it will turn out to be a joke”. It talks about a little boy asking a waiter to help him change his soup as there was a fly in it. However, the waiter thought it as another question and answered the customer back in a funny and useless manner.

Setting: The setting of my comic strip is at the restaurant as it is the most appropriate place for a customer and waiter to be in.

Characters: The characters in my comic strip if the most appropriate for the setting of the restaurant. In the speech bubbles, I have also expressed the liveliness of the characters and the emotions to express feelings.
